Copy Format & Copy Layer
The Ribbon panel Clipboard contains the two functions Copy Format and Copy Layer
Copy Format
Select a dimension, text annotation, or line in a drawing view and click on the "Copy Format" button to copy relevant formatting information to other objects of the same type.
Dimension: The program copies the accuracy and tolerance of the selected dimension and the text formatting of the dimension text (horizontal and vertical alignment, line spacing, width scale). If the selected dimension is an inspection dimension, the function also copies the inspection form, inspection label text, and inspection rate.
Annotations: The program copies the font, font size, font modifiers (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough), font color, horizontal and vertical alignment, stacked text position, line spacing, and width scale. Note that if the selected text object's FormattedText contains multiple different fonts, the program will take the information from the first font. The only exception to this rule is when the first character in the text is one of the special geometric symbols that use the "AIGDT" font. In this case, the function will use the formatting information from the first font that is not AIGDT.
Line: The program copies the line type, line weight, and color of the selected drawing line segment. If the selected line segment is set to "By Layer" for line weight, the program will use the line weight of the associated layer instead.
Copy Layer
Select a dimension, text annotation, or line in a drawing view and click on the "Copy Layer" button to copy the layer of the object to other objects.
